Short answer: Air+Truck fits student luggage best
Student luggage is usually a modest volume, you want it to arrive quickly, and you do not want customs chasing you for tax after it lands. Of the four shipping modes, Air+Truck (air freight + destination trucking) fits best: cheaper than international couriers (DHL/UPS), faster than sea, and DDP all the way to your dorm door. Only consider sea or Sea+Truck if you are shipping a large volume well ahead of time.

What can you ship?
Most everyday student luggage is fine: books, clothes for all seasons, bedding / duvets, small appliances like rice cookers, seasonings / dried snacks, skincare and cosmetics. Declare in advance on WeChat: lithium-battery devices (laptops, power banks) need the model disclosed; pure lithium cells cannot ship; magnetic and powder items also need a heads-up.

Why ship DDP (duties prepaid)?
DDP = export clearance + import clearance + duties + door delivery, all covered by the forwarder. The thing students dread most — customs charging extra tax on arrival, or queuing at the post office to collect — does not happen under DDP. The recipient just signs, with no further charges.
About pricing
Freight cost moves with season, lane, and the actual weight/volume of your luggage, so a fixed price list would mislead. Quotes are given in real time on WeChat (within 5 minutes) after a photo and weight — transparent, no hidden fees. Back-to-school (Aug–Sep) and pre-Christmas are peak; ship early.
