UK customs — how we clear post-Brexit

Since the UK left the EU customs union in 2021, UK clearance is independent. We work with our own UK customs broker and HMRC declaration channels: ≤£135 via IOSS (VAT prepaid by sender); >£135 via standard import declaration with VAT and duties prepaid.

Under DDP, VAT and duties are all paid by us — recipients in London / Manchester / Edinburgh sign the package, no follow-up paperwork or charges.

Food / cosmetics / pharmacy have dedicated compliance channels. Infant goods, formula, supplements — all routine; clients don't need to handle the paperwork.

Shenzhen to UK by sea is roughly 30–35 days door-to-door (FCL direct to Felixstowe / Southampton); LCL is 32–38 days. Air is 7–12 days. Times include declaration + customs + last-mile; peak season adds 3–7 days.

02 Does the China-to-UK quote include VAT?

Yes. On DDP, both VAT and duties are prepaid by us. ≤£135 via IOSS, >£135 via standard import declaration. The UK recipient signs and that's it — no further charges.

03 How do students ship luggage to UK dorms?

Our Air+Truck line lands at the dorm in 8–12 days. Give us the dorm address + room number + recipient name and the truck pre-books delivery time. Books, bedding, rice cookers, seasonings, clothes all accepted.
