London customs — clearing post-Brexit

Since 2021 the UK has cleared independently of the EU. After Felixstowe / Southampton arrival, our UK customs broker files with HMRC: ≤£135 via IOSS (VAT prepaid by sender); >£135 standard import declaration with VAT prepaid.

Under DDP, VAT and duties are all covered by us. Recipients at a UCL dorm, Soho restaurant, or Colindale home sign the package and that's it — true door-to-door with no follow-up paperwork.

Cosmetics require UKCA registration; food items (incl. Chinese seasonings) via CHED filing; wine via excise channels. We have all of these mapped — clients don't deal with paperwork.
